Bedroom furniture colors

Choosing the colors for your bedroom furniture pieces can be a challenge, so hopefully these tips will help keep you focused and on the right track as far as picking the pixels is concerned!

First, keep in mind what kind of lighting you will utilize. Are you going to rely on warm lighting? Accent lighting? Are you going to use cool lights? Are you going to get into effect lighting, or are you simply going to utilize the sunlight through the windows?

Odds are good that you will utilize a couple of these… like sunlight in the day and warm lights at night… or accent lighting at night, and cool lights during the night-time. No matter what kind of lighting you choose to utilize, you can choose bedroom furniture colors that enhance it by following just a few simple guidelines.

First, for warm lighting, try utilizing colors that are rich… dark red, deep yellow, and off-white are rich enough that warm light will really set them off. How about a dark red dresser with an off  -white top? Or, how about a deep-yellow bed-frame, which is then accented with a cherry-finished head board?

Black and white are excellent for cool lighting, but you must make sure that the whites are brilliant… not dull. A black and white furniture selection is amazing with cool lighting, but it will absolutely be ruined if the whites are not brilliant. If your whites are not brilliant, than go with warm lighting.

Also, stained wood works great with most lighting, but goes especially well with warm lights. Soft lamps illuminating the natural beauty of a red-oak dresser is quite a spectacle to behold… and will help to make your bedroom even more attractive than ever.
